Scrubs’ final season to be on ABC!

Scrubs will be moving to ABC for it’s last and final season - which will begin this fall!

Subject: Scrubs moves to ABC

Dear friends,

Many of you have been understandably confused by the Fairy Tale episode of Scrubs serving as the series finale. It was not. I was not allowed to say it until today, but Scrubs will be moving to ABC for its final season. We are currently filming the 8th and final season. The true finale of the show will air on ABC in the fall. NBC merely promoted the Fairy Tale episode as the finale, as it was the last episode they owned.

Also, several of you were very confused by the fact that Dr. Kelso and Laverne were still working at the hospital in the Fairy Tale episode. Because of the writer’s strike, the last remaining episodes for NBC were aired out of order. This is why Dr. Kelso was still chief of medicine. That was not Laverne however, for those of you who have been following closely; it was a new nurse “Shirley” who no one thinks looks anything like Laverne except for JD.

Hope this clears some things up.

It’s a bit late on the alert, but Sarah was featured in the January 2008 issue of “Self” magazine (featuring Faith Hill on the cover). I was able to snag a copy of the magazine and I’ll be adding scans from it as soon as I get some time to scan it. The pictures in the issue are great and I can’t wait to share it with other Sarah fans!

Question: How will the writers’ strike affect the final season of Scrubs!? — Brandon
Ausiello: In the worst way possible: If the work stoppage goes on much longer, we may never get our Scrubs series finale. “To finish this season, the strike would need to be over by mid-January/early February,” Bill Lawrence told me after Saturday’s event. “Once the strike ends, I’m going to do anything I can to do the finale of the show. And if that means trying to sell ABC Studios on the value of shooting those last episodes even if they were only for a special feature on the DVD, or airing them on ABC if NBC didn’t want them, I will pursue every single road to make them.” And that, my friends, is why we worship Bill Lawrence.
